EFFAF:

2010 VISIT TO THE ELEPHANTS:

EFAF DEBRIEF:

STRONG POINTS:

I learnt a lot while we visited EFAF. They taught us a lot about elephants themselves and also the elephants that they have there. We got close to the elephants, got to touch them and we even gave the elephants orders ourselves. It’s very interesting to see and know how quickly they learn. They are quit calm animals when you raise them yourself. Best of all was telling Nenedi to jump and see how she actually responds to that. Another fun thing that I enjoyed was getting sprayed by the biggest elephant that they had there.

WEEK POINTS:

· We didn’t get a chance to ride them.

· Some of us didn’t get a chance to sit on them.

· We didn’t get a chance to swim with them.

· Would have liked to stay longer and spend more time with the elephants.

WHAT I’VE LEARNED:

1. That elephants have a very good memory.

2. That they are very smart.

3. That they train easily.

4. That they are very strong animals.

5. That they are quit fast for their size.

6. That they are afraid of small, fast moving objects.

SUGGESTIONS:

Don’t really have any suggestions, we all would have enjoyed it to swim with them or go on a safari even on our own costs. It would have been nice if we could have gone a little earlier. Other than that it was really awesome.
